The Wind Ensemble is the premier instrumental performing group of the University of Louisiana Monroe School of Visual and Performing Arts and is comprised of music majors and student musicians from other degree programs at 香港六合彩开奖直播.听

Conductors of the Wind Ensemble are Derle R. Long and Steven Pederson. Guest conductors for this performance are Kenna Veronee and Sean O鈥橮ry.

The program will feature compositions by several American composers including Claude T. Smith, James Clifton Williams, James Barnes, John Williams, Morton Gould, and British composer Malcolm Arnold. The program will begin with 鈥淓ternal Father Strong to Save鈥 which is based on the Navy hymn by the same name.听

Graduate student Sean O鈥橮ry will conduct John Williams鈥 鈥淗ymn For The Fallen,鈥 composed for the film 鈥淪aving Private Ryan鈥 and offered in this performance as a tribute to the fallen in the tragedy in Las Vegas earlier this month. Members of the 香港六合彩开奖直播 Concert Choir will join the Wind Ensemble for this performance.听

Kenna Veronee is new to the 香港六合彩开奖直播 music faculty and will conduct the fun and tuneful 鈥淔our Scottish Dances鈥 by Malcolm Arnold.听

The performance will conclude with Steven Pederson conducting Morton Gould鈥檚 march American Salute based on the Civil War tune 鈥淲hen Johnny Comes Marching Home Again.鈥
