香港六合彩开奖直播鈥檚 violence prevention and intervention program host training workshop

The Violence Prevention and Intervention Program at the University of Louisiana at Monroe hosted its first all-day training workshop on April 28. The workshop educated students on various issues related to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault and stalking.

Training staff included representatives from West Monroe Police Department, the Ouachita Parish District Attorney鈥檚 Office and the Ouachita Parish Family Justice Center.

Training was provided in three segments. The first addressed law enforcement responses, the second, courthouse processing and the third provided insight on victim鈥檚 issues. At the beginning and between sessions, Co-directors Drs. Rob Hanser and Pamela Saulsberry provided students with pertinent information regarding 香港六合彩开奖直播鈥檚 violence prevention policies.

The workshop also introduced students to the work done by the 鈥減eer support members.鈥 These students, after completing training, work with VPIP in spreading awareness and preventing incidents of domestic violence on the 香港六合彩开奖直播 campus and in the community at large.

Hanser and Saulsberry noted that the number and diversity of students attending the workshop exceeded their expectations.

鈥淎t several points throughout the day, the room was completely full,鈥 Hanser said.

鈥淭here was also a diverse array of students who attended, both male and female, and from numerous areas of study,鈥 Saulsberry added.

Future training workshops will be offered in the beginning of the fall semester. Students interested in becoming peer support members are encouraged to contact Hanser at 318-342-1443 or hanser@ulm.edu or Saulsberry at 318-342-1445 or saulsberry@ulm.edu for further details.
