Faculty and students in the Department of Radiologic Technology at the University of Louisiana at Monroe participated in the 53rd annual meeting of the Louisiana Society of Radiologic Technology, held July 15-17 in Baton Rouge.

香港六合彩开奖直播 Department Head and Assistant Professor of Radiologic Technology Brett Bennett, who also serves as vice president and membership committee chair of LSRT, coordinated the scientific exhibit competition and was student Quiz Bowl scorekeeper.

香港六合彩开奖直播 Clinical Coordinator and Assistant Professor of Radiologic Technology Andy Allen, who serves as chairperson of the Louisiana Educators in Radiologic Sciences Council, coordinated the essay competition and helped judge the student Quiz Bowl.

Bennett and Allen were recognized for their service and sworn in at the presidential banquet. Bennett will serve as president elect and Allen as first vice president of LSRT; Allen will also serve as vice chair of the LERS Council for 2010-2011.

Jaclyn Peters, instructor of radiologic technology, presented a lecture titled, 鈥淧ediatric Imaging.鈥 She also served as faculty advisor for Chi Beta Gamma, the Radiologic Technology student organization, and was elected LERS Council chair.

All 香港六合彩开奖直播 students enrolled in the professional program attended the event and were awarded certificates for their participation.

LSRT Student Advisory Council Chair Kevin Wiater and Student Advisory Council Vice Chair Clint Hairston delivered a presentation on professional organizations in radiologic technology.

Five 香港六合彩开奖直播 students participated in the Essay Competition. Emily Fuller earned a third-place award and given $50 for her essay, 鈥淩isk Management in the Healthcare Facility.鈥

Chi Beta Gamma placed first in the T-shirt contest, and the 2010 Quiz Bowl team represented the university well. Members of the team included Fuller, Wiater, Courtney Allen, Trey Crowe, Joe Fandal, Josh Thompson, and Allen as team coach.
