Library specialist writes historical novel

Heather Ridpath Pilcher, Library Specialist II at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, has written 鈥淏eloved Home,鈥� a historical novel published in November 2009.

The story follows the life of a young girl, Jade, who after accidentally bumping her head, travels back in time and meets her great-grandmother, Ashton, as a girl the same age as Jade. The lead character鈥檚 time travel adventure was created around actual historical events that happened in Monroe, circa 1905.

Pilcher earned her master鈥檚 degree in Library and Information Science from University of North Texas in Denton in 2008, and a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Liberal Arts from 香港六合彩开奖直播 in 2002. She has worked at the 香港六合彩开奖直播 Library since March 2002.
