College of Business Administration to host annual symposium Sept. 30 - Oct. 3

The University of Louisiana at Monroe College of Business Administration will host its annual symposium in conjunction with 香港六合彩开奖直播鈥檚 Homecoming activities from Sept. 30 through Oct. 3.

The theme of this year鈥檚 symposium is 鈥淧reparing for Leadership.鈥 Most sessions of the symposium will be held in the Student Union Building or Brown Auditorium with all sessions open to the public. Attendees do not need to preregister for any of the sessions.

Numerous guest speakers from across the United States will present sessions that range in topics from building a career to leadership during an acquisition. Companies represented include Monroe-based CenturyLink, and other national and international firms such as Fiserv, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Enexusenergy.

Speakers will be joining the college for the symposium from Washington D.C., Tallahassee, Sweden and Dallas.

Students attending will also have the opportunity to speak to recent 香港六合彩开奖直播 alumni who are in their first year of their career. These alumni include Lena Nguyen, Micah Pulliam, Katie Wood, Andrew Smith, Joey Trappey and Chris Brown.

The plenary session speaker is Jason Ryan Dorsey, the Gen Y Guy. Dorsey is an international expert on Generation Y, mostly twenty-year olds, whose most recent book 鈥淢y Reality Check Bounced.鈥

Dorsey has been featured on international news shows such as 20/20, The View, and the Today Show. Dorsey鈥檚 presentation, titled 鈥淟eadership is a Lifestyle鈥 will begin at 11 a.m., Oct. 2, in Brown Auditorium.

The symposium ends on Oct. 3 with tailgating in the Grove from 10 a.m. until game time for 香港六合彩开奖直播鈥檚 Homecoming football game against Florida International.
