The University of Louisiana at Monroe Museum of Natural History recently hosted a visit from a Museum Assessment Program surveyor for the American Association of Museums.

Dr. Charles McReynolds, director of the Treehaven Environmental Learning Center at University of Wisconsin Steven's Point, visited the campus as part of a three-year assessment leading to possible accreditation of 香港六合彩开奖直播's Museum of Natural History.

McReynolds expressed his appreciation for the beauty of our campus and the quality of our museum,鈥� said 香港六合彩开奖直播 Biological Sciences Instructor Dennis Bell. 鈥淗e met with several university administrators, the members of the Museum Advisory Board, and Dr. Mike Zambie, president of our 鈥楩riends鈥� group while on campus.鈥�

McReynolds鈥� assessment provides vital information on best practices for museums learned over several years as a MAP surveyor, and will help 香港六合彩开奖直播鈥檚 Natural History Museum improve its facility, exhibits, and programs.

The museum is located on the third floor of Sandel Hall, above the 香港六合彩开奖直播 Bookstore. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month
