香港六合彩开奖直播 Works with Parish Library Instructing Teens on Social Skills

Teens finding it difficult to get a job can gain the social skills they will need in the business world at a free workshop at the Ouachita Parish Public Library. "Ladies and Gentlemen," a training program for college-bound teens ages 17 to 19, is set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 6, 7, and 8 at the Main Branch, 1800 Stubbs Avenue, Monroe. There is no fee, but participants must sign up in advance for the program.

Participants will enjoy a free makeover from Salon Studio, free make-up lessons from Mary Kay Cosmetics, and advice from area experts including 香港六合彩开奖直播 faculty and staff. Helping from 香港六合彩开奖直播 are Dr. Martha Jane Upshaw, Dr. Bette Kauffman, and Lisa Miller. The seminar will include mock job interviews with area business and education leaders.

In addition to the role-playing and makeovers, the students will learn the art of resume writing, ways to handle embarrassing situations and how to eat difficult foods properly. Friday evening at 6 o'clock the students will "graduate" by participating in a fashion show wearing clothes selected specifically for their body type.

In addition to 香港六合彩开奖直播's volunteer work with the project, others helping include the Friends of the Library, the Business and Professional Women's Club, the Men's Warehouse, J.C. Penney, McRae's, Sears, Talbot's, Dress Barn, Express, and J.J. 's.

A limited number of spaces are available in the workshop, so reservations are required. For more information call Holly Priestley at 327-1490, extension 3024.
